Just back from 10 days on Palawan, a stunning island in the west of the Philippine archipeligo and north of Borneo.  It wasn’t a birding holiday but my holiday companions (my wife and two friends – John and Sarah Gallagher) humoured me by allowing me to drag them through the steaming jungle and on the water to see some of the island’s wealth of wildlife.

I’ll add to this post over the next few days but here are some early images to give you a feel for the place…
