Last week Martin Garner invited me to join the Birding Frontiers team. Of course, I was delighted and privileged to accept, joining some illustrious names including Nils van Duivendijk, Chris Gibbins, Roger Riddington, Yoav Perlman, Andrea Corso and many more. My first post – Discovering Birds in Beijing – has now been published and I will be contributing 2-3 posts per month for this popular site. Look out for them!

Congrats Terry! Nice opening article…. I like the comment about all the bird-scarers – it does seem that way at times. Of course there are so many people that its hard for them not to scare the birds. I’m glad for your enthusiasm in discovering birds, and especially for your willingness to take the time and effort to share about them with us.
Thank you Gretchen.. much appreciated. And thank you, too, for supporting my blog since the beginning.
