Birding Beijing on Birding Frontiers

Last week Martin Garner invited me to join the Birding Frontiers team.  Of course, I was delighted and privileged to accept, joining some illustrious names including Nils van Duivendijk, Chris Gibbins, Roger Riddington, Yoav Perlman, Andrea Corso and many more.  My first post – Discovering Birds in Beijing – has now been published and I will be contributing 2-3 posts per month for this popular site.  Look out for them!

About Terry Townshend

I am a British birder living and birding in Beijing from August 2010 until 2015. Through this blog I hope I can convey a sense of what it is like to live in this thriving, confident and contrasting city and the birdlife that can be found in its environs. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it! Terry Townshend, Beijing September 2010

Congrats Terry! Nice opening article…. I like the comment about all the bird-scarers – it does seem that way at times. Of course there are so many people that its hard for them not to scare the birds. I’m glad for your enthusiasm in discovering birds, and especially for your willingness to take the time and effort to share about them with us.
